Old Minecraft Server Now Available For Download
Torasko.com has it’s own Minecraft Server on which you can play, but what many of the current players don’t know is that we also used to run a Minecraft server when Minecraft beta v1.8 was still being used. We had a lot of fun on this server back when it was still operational, but since we closed it down everybody seemed to forget about it. Well, shortly after the server closed down I got request to publish the save file used on this server so everybody could visit the cities we build once more, and today I got a request for this again.
I have good news, today you can download the original save file that was used when we ran a Minecraft beta 1.8 server. Keep in mind though, it needs to be converted and will use start using new biome code. This means that stuff in this world can get broken and that biomes will be different from how you remember. Also, when you reach the edge of the world that we loaded in back when we still played on it, new biome code will fill the chunks that haven’t been loaded yet. This means that you will get very sharp borders, which may not look very pretty. Anyway, for everybody who wants to play once more in the old world, click here to download the original save file. Been a while. I was wondering if this server will ever go back up, possibly with a new world file? I’d love to be able to play again, as it was a great group of people. With a few exceptions.
Not anytime soon, since I don’t play Minecraft myself anymore.
